Local press are reporting a fire at the Nan Ya Plastics polyester plant in Lake City, South Carolina on January 21st:
AKC Note: This is the largest polyester plant in North America with filament, staple fiber, chip and PET resin. No further comment has been received from the plant as to the implications of any damage that may have occurred, but the reported comments from the local Fire Chief indicate there is no “structural damage to the building or to the manufacturing capabilities of Nan Ya Plastics.”
